                   Richmond, KY(April 22, 2017) Richmond Raceway track promoters Larry, Chad, and Sarah  Yantzwill have to delay the start of the 2017 racing season at the 3/10 mile  semi-banked clay oval known as “The Beast of the East” as Mother Nature has  made an appearance and let the track and grounds too wet for racing competition  this weekend.   
                  Richmond Raceway will now kick off its 51st season of  dirt track racing entertainment on Saturday April 29 with Late Models racing  for $2,000 to win, Open Wheel Modifieds racing for $1,000 to win, KDRA Super  Stock racing for $750 to win, and Stock Four Cylinders racing for $500 to  win.   
                  Activities for the Saturday April 29 season opening event  at Richmond Raceway will see the pit area open at 3:00 p.m., with the general  admission area gates set to open at 4:30 p.m.   The drivers meeting will take place at 5:45 p.m., with practice/time  trial laps set to get underway at 6:15 p.m., while the first green flag to  start the racing action will wave at 7:30 p.m.   All times EDT.  Ticket prices for  the April 22 season opening event at Richmond Raceway in the general admission  area will be $15 for adults, with children ages 12 and under admitted  free.  A pit pass will cost $35.
