Richmond, KY(September 24, 2016) A total of 106 would greet race fans on Meet the Drivers Night at Richmond Raceway on Saturday evening and feature event winners would include Derek Fisher of Olympia, KY in Sonic Late Models, Eddie Stewart of Manchester, KY in AR Bodies KDRA Super Stocks, Blake Brown of Corbin, KY in Phantom Racing Gear Modifieds and Warlock Race Cars Mini-Cup/Cyclones, and Dave McCarty of Owingsville, KY in Pro-Tow Towing Stock Four Cylinders.

Tommy Bailey would lead the first 17 laps of the Sonic Late Model main event before a flat left rear tire would ruin his evening and would hand the lead over to Derek Fisher, who would remain on the point for the rest of the 25 lap contest and take the win in the Mike Swartz owned Swartz Construction and Tree Removal/Custom Suspensions sponsored #38 Longhorn Race Car by Weaver powered by a Jay Dickens Race Engine.  Todd Coffman would finish in the second position, while James Rice would come home in the third position.  Jason Barrett and Steve Stollings would complete the top five.  The remainder of the top ten would be Kirk Phillips, Zane Powell, Mike Strunk, Trent Low, and Jonathan Couch.  Twenty-one entries would see Bailey as top qualifier at 14.759 seconds and win a heat, while Fisher and Josh Rice would win the other heats.

Eddie Stewart would take the lead at the drop of the green flag in the AR Bodies KDRA Super Stock feature event and never look back on his way to the checkered flag in the We Go the Dog sponsored #119 Stewart Race Car.  Jeremie Bretz and Robby Perkins would finish in the second and third positions, while Travis Preston and Trae Soper completed the top five.  The rest of the top ten would be Logan Preston, Jeremy Howard, John Hall, James Crowe, and Glen Hounshell, Jr.  Twenty-six entries would see Stewart as top qualifier at 16.504 seconds and win a heat, while Bretz and Perkins scored the other pair of heat wins.

Jeff Watson would lead the first 14 laps of the Phantom Racing Gear Modified main event before losing a driveshaft and being finished for the night, giving the lead over to Blake Brown, who would lead the rest of the way to score his sixth win of the year at the track in the division in the Robbie Brown owned Bill’s Bath and Lighting/Tammy Brown Photography/Team Lawyer Muscles/State Farm Insurance/Basement Boutique sponsored #99 Lightning Chassis, Vic Hill Race Engines powered entry.  Keith Smith would finish second, while David Webb would finish third.  Aaron Branham and Dennis Roberson would round out the top five.  Completing the top ten would be David Adams, Zach Powers, Steve Stollings, Aaron Cox, and Jimmy Crabtree.  Twenty-five entries would see Watson be top qualifier at 16.213 second and win his heat, with Brown and Smith also winning heat races.

Dave McCarty would lead all 12 circuits of the Pro-Tow Towing Stock Four Cylinder feature contest to claim the victory in the Swartz Enterprises sponsored #AR-15 mount.  First-time visitor James Ramsey would finish second, while Greg Hensley would snag third.  Sean Jones and another first-time visitor, Henry Lawson, would complete the top five.  Sixth through tenth positions would go to Derek Thornsburg, Shane Yates, Chris Cox, Justin Masters, and Eric Masters.  Twenty-seven entries would see Charles Burton be top qualifier at 18.646 seconds, while heat wins fell to McCarty, Ramsey, and Shane Irvin. 

Blake Brown would lead the full distance in the $500 to win special for Warlock Race Cars Mini-Cup/Cyclones to pick up the win in the Deborah Rutherford owned Dependable Auto Sales/Tammy Brown Photography/Basement Boutiques sponsored #99 MMI Chassis.  The remainder of the top five would be Dylan Rutherford, Scott Crusenberry, Dalton Brown, and Josh Dickerson.  Seven entries would see Brown take quick time at 20.630 seconds and also win the heat.
