Richmond, KY(September 17, 2016) Richmond Raceway co-promoters Larry, Chad, and Sarah Yantz have once again had to postpone the 29th Annual Sunoco Race Fuels Paul “Butterball” Wooldridge Memorial scheduled for tonight September 17 due to inclement weather expected to move into the area during the afternoon and more rains expected later on in the evening.
With a line of rain showers headed toward the Richmond, KY area and with more rain predicted between 8:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. during the evening, the track felt it was in the best interest of the race fans and race teams to go ahead and postpone the event so that people traveling longer distances would again incure an added expense of fuel and other things after already having made a trip for a rainout on the event back on August 20.
The event will now be made up on Saturday October 8 and will still pay $10,059 to win, however, the event will now be unsanctioned as the Southern Nationals Bonus Series will not be able to return.  Also on the racing program now will be the Phantom Racing Gear Modifieds racing for $1,259, American Dirt Allstars AR Bodies KDRA Super Stocks racing for $1,059 to win, and Pro-Tow Towing Stock Four Cylinders $759 to win.  The Warlock Race Cars Mini-Cup/Cyclones would now be off for the event.  Also, with the Late Model portion of the event now being unsanctioned, there will be no entry fee for the Late Model division.
More information about the rescheduled date for the event will be released on Sunday afternoon, with the A-Main purses in each division being the same as previously advertised and race teams and race fans that have rainout tickets and pit passes from the original scheduled date back on August 20 can use them for admission for this event.
Richmond Raceway is located at 328 Greens Crossing Road, just a short drive from the city limits of Richmond, KY.  Larry, Chad, and Sarah Yantz are the track promoters and will present dirt track racing on Saturday evenings.  For more information about Richmond Raceway, contact track co-promoter Larry Yantz at (606) 510-5331 or track co-promoter Chad Yantz at (606) 510-4836 or via social media at www.richmond-raceway.net, Facebook at www.facebook.com/groups/308149696058239/ or facebook.com/richraceky, and Twitter @MichaelDespain or @RichmondRaceway.  The phone number at the track for information concerning race events and raceday information is (859) 624-5640.
