Richmond, KY(March 13, 2016) Richmond Raceway co-promoters Larry, Chad, and Sarah Yantz are to begin the 2016 racing season with the track’s Test and Tune Open Practice Day on Saturday evening March 26 at the 3/10 mile semi-banked clay oval known as “The Beast of the East”. 

The track’s Test and Tune Practice Day will take place on Saturday March 26, with practice laps set to take place from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. EDT.  The general admission and pit areas will open at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday March 26.  Admission to watch practice in the general admission area will be FREE, while a pit pass will be $15 for adults, $5 for children ages 6 to 12, and children ages 5 and under will be free. 

Richmond Raceway will kick off its 50th season of dirt track racing entertainment with the track’s 50th Annual Season Opener on Saturday April 2.  On the April 2 season opener racing card will be Late Models ($1,500 to win), Modifieds ($1,000 to win), KDRA Super Stocks ($750 to win), Four Cylinders ($500 to win), and Mini-Cup/Cyclones ($100 to win).
