                   Richmond, KY(June 19, 2016) Richmond Raceway co-promoters Larry, Chad, and Sarah  Yantz will present the 12th Annual Iron-Man Classic at the 3/10 mile  semi-banked red clay oval known as “The Beast of the East” on Saturday June  25.  The event will feature Super Late  Models co-sanctioned by the Southern Nationals Bonus Series and Iron-Man  Mountain Championship Series racing 60 laps for $10,050 to win.  Also on the racing card will be a full racing  program for the Phantom Racing Gear Modifieds, AR Bodies KDRA Super Stocks, and  Warlock Race Cars Mini-Cup/Cyclones, while the Pro-Tow Towing Stock Four  Cylinders will have the evening off.   
                  The track will host an open practice prior to the event  on Friday June 24 for all divisions.   Gates will open at 5:00 p.m., with practice laps set to take place  between 7:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m.  All  times listed are EDT.  For the open  practice on Friday June 24, admission will be FREE in the general admission  area, while a pit pass will be $20. 
                  Richmond Raceway will present the 12th Annual Iron-Man  Classic, co-sanctioned by the Southern Nationals Bonus Series and Iron-Man  Mountain Championship Series on Saturday June 25 in a program that will feature  practice, FK Rod Ends time trials, qualifying heats, B-Mains, and the 60 lap,  $10,050 to win/$500 to start 12th Annual Iron-Man Classic A-Main event.  Also set for racing competition on the  Saturday June 25 Iron-Man Classic racing program will be the Phantom Racing  Gear Modifieds racing for $1,000 to win in a 20 lap feature event, the AR  Bodies KDRA Super Stocks racing for $750 to win in a 15 lap contest, and the  Warlock Race Cars Mini-Cup/Cyclones racing for $100 to win in a 10 lap main  event.  All divisions, except for Super Late  Models, will utilize the practice/time trials combo format to determine heat  race starting positions, while Super Late Models will have a separate practice  and time trials session.  Transponders  are used for timing/scoring purposes (can be rented at the track for $10 or $5  fee if a driver has their own) and RACEceivers are also mandatory in all  divisions.  All competitors are urged to  be at the track and signed-in by 5:30 p.m. as that is when driver registration  closes.   
                  Also of note, the track will offer bonuses for the three  highest finishing drivers that utilize a Crate engine powered car will be  eligible for bonuses.  The highest  finishing driver using a Crate engine will receive a $100 bonus, second highest  finishing driver using a Crate engine will receive a $75 bonus, and the third highest  finishing driver using a Crate engine will receive a $50 bonus, while the  series will offer a $200 bonus for the highest finishing competitor using a  Steel Head/SPEC engine and a $200 bonus for the highest finishing competitor  utilizing a CT525 powerplant.  The Super  Late Model division will have an entry fee for this event and it will be $100,  while the tire rule for Super Late Models for this event on all four corners of  the race cars will be as follows:   Hoosier 1300, 1350, and 1600 or American Racer 44, 48, and 56.  
                  Activities for the 12th Annual Iron-Man Classic at  Richmond Raceway on Saturday June 25 will see all gates open one hour earlier  than normal, with the pit area opening at 2:00 p.m. and the general admission  area opening at 3:30 p.m.  Driver  registration will close at 5:30 p.m. and the drivers meeting will begin at 5:45  p.m., with practice set to begin at 6:15 p.m.   Racing is set to take the take the green flag at 7:30 p.m.  All times listed are EDT.  Ticket prices for the 12th Annual Iron-Man  Classic at Richmond Raceway on Saturday June 25 in the general admission area  will be $25 for adults, with children ages 12 and under admitted FREE.  A pit pass will be $40, children ages 6 to 12  will be $15, and children ages 5 and under are FREE.

                  The Iron-Man Classic is the brainchild of Chris Tilley  with CT Promotions of Somerset, KY and 2016 will mark the 12th edition of the  event.  The event is somewhat historic as  it will be the richest Iron-Man Classic to date and it will mark the third time  the event has been contested at Richmond Raceway.  Don O’Neal of Martinsville, IN won the  Iron-Man Classic event at Richmond in 2008, while Justin Rattliff of  Campbellsville, KY won the third-race of last year’s 2015 Iron-Man Classic  Speedweek at Richmond Raceway, while Michael Chilton of Salvisa, KY was the  overall Iron-Man Classic points champion for 2015.
