Richmond, KY(August 21, 2016) Richmond Raceway track promoters Larry, Chad, and Sarah Yantz would like to announce a revised schedule for the remainder of the 2016 racing season that compensate for the recent rainouts and postponements at the 3/10 mile semi-banked red clay oval better known as “The Beast of the East”.

There will be no racing as originally scheduled at the track on Saturday August 27.  The next event will be on Saturday September 3 with the rescheduled KDRA Nationals, featuring the American Dirt Allstars AR Bodies KDRA Super Stocks racing for $2,000 to win, along with a regular show for the Sonic Late Models, Phantom Racing Gear Modifieds, Pro-Tow Towing Stock Four Cylinders, and Warlock Race Cars Mini-Cup/Cyclones.

The track will again be off on September 10 for the World 100, but will return to action on Saturday September 17 as this will be the rescheduled date for the 29th Annual Sunoco Race Fuels Paul “Butterball” Wooldridge Memorial, paying $10,059 to win (plus lap leader money) for the Southern Nationals Bonus Series Super Late Models, plus Phantom Racing Gear Modifiedss ($1,259 to win), American Dirt Allstars AR Bodies KDRA Super Stocks ($1,059 to win), and Pro-Tow Towing Stock Four Cylinders ($759 to win), while Warlock Race Cars Mini-Cup/Cyclones will be off.  There will be an open practice night prior to the “Butterball” on Friday night

Following the “Butterball”, the next event will be Saturday September 24 and will now be Meet the Drivers Night on the frontchute for the race fans after practice/time trials are completed.  This event will feature the rescheduled $500 to win event for the Warlock Race Cars Mini-Cup/Cyclones, along with a full racing program for Sonic Late Models, Phantom Racing Gear Modifieds, AR Bodies KDRA Super Stocks, and Pro-Tow Towing Stock Four Cylinders.

The month of October will kick off on Saturday October 1 with the Four Cylinder Rumble, paying $1,000 to win for the Pro-Tow Towing Stock Four Cylinders, along with a full racing program for Sonic Late Models, Phantom Racing Gear Modifieds, AR Bodies KDRA Super Stocks, and Warlock Race Cars Mini-Cup/Cyclones. 

The season finale on Saturday October 8 will now become the 2nd Annual Finn Watson Memorial, paying $3,000 to win for Sonic Late Models, along with Phantom Racing Gear Modifieds $1,500 to win, AR Bodies KDRA Super Stocks $1,200 to win, and Warlock Race Cars Mini-Cup/Cyclones $500 to win.  The Pro-Tow Towing Stock Four Cylinders will not be in action.
