                   Richmond, KY(August 20, 2016) Richmond Raceway was set to present the 29th Annual  Sunoco Race Fuels Paul “Butterball” Wooldridge Memorial for the Southern  Nationals Bonus Series and with 82 total race cars on the grounds (26 Super  Late Models, 17 Modifieds, 20 KDRA Super Stocks, and 19 Stock Four Cylinders),  steady rain began to fall around 5:30 p.m. and around 5:45 p.m. the skies let loose  and drenched the grounds, leaving series and track officials no option but to  postpone the event.   
                  Series and track officials are currently in discussion  regarding the make-up date for the event and as soon as it is agreed upon, an  announcement will be made concerning the make-up date.  Race fans and race teams will need to hold on  to their tickets and pit pass armbands, as they will be the rainchecks for the  event when the rescheduled date is announced.   Richmond Raceway wants to sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this  postponement has caused.   
                  There will be no racing at Richmond Raceway on Saturday  August 27, with the next event now set for Saturday September 3 and that will  be Meet the Drivers Night at the 3/10 mile red-clay oval better known as “The  Beast of the East”.  The event will  feature a full racing program for the Sonic Late Models, Phantom Racing Gear  Modifieds, AR Bodies KDRA Super Stocks, Pro-Tow Towing Stock Four Cylinders,  and Warlock Race Cars Mini-Cup/Cyclones.   The Meet the Drivers portion of the evening will take place immediately  following practice/time trials as the drivers will pull their race cars back to  the frontchute and race fans will be allowed to come down onto the track and  visit with their favorite drivers, get autographs, take photographs, and enjoy  some relaxing time of fellowship with their favorite racers.
