Mother Nature Halts Richmond Raceway Again; Ultimate BoB Spring Shootout on April 16

Richmond, KY(April 8, 2016) For the second straight week, Richmond Raceway co-promoters Larry, Chad, and Sarah Yantz have been forced to postpone the season opener for the 50th season of dirt track racing at the 3/10 mile semi-banked clay oval known as “The Beast of the East” as unseasonably cooler temperatures, winds, and forecasted precipitation has once again moved into the Bluegrass region of Kentucky and have left track officials no other option but to postpone racing activities once again.

“We really want to get this new race season started, but it seems that Mother Nature is just not a race fan at the moment”, stated track co-promoter Larry Yantz.  “We do not want our race teams and race fans subjected to uncomfortable conditions due to the unseasonably cool, windy, and damp weather conditions, so our opener will now be the Ultimate Battle of the Bluegrass Spring Shootout on Saturday April 16”, concluded Yantz.
