Richmond Raceway Presents Beast of the East Clash Season Finale on October 3!

Richmond, KY(September 26, 2015) Richmond Raceway co-promoters Larry, Chad, and Sarah Yantz will have the 3/10 mile red clay oval known as “The Beast of the East” in action again on Saturday October 3 as the track will present the inaugural running of the Beast of the East Clash, that will feature a busy night of action both on and off the track, with extra money up for grabs in several divisions.

With Mother Nature cancelling race program on September 19 and September 26, it will set up the Beast of the East Clash season finale to be a huge weekend of racing.  The Barry Turner of Century 21 Advantage Realty Super Late Models will race for $5,000 to win, Modifieds will race for $2,000 to win, American Dirt Allstars KDRA Super Stocks will compete in the KDRA Super Stock Nationals for $2,000 to win, Four Cylinders will race for $500 to win, and Warlock Race Cars Mini-Cup/Cyclones will race for $100 to win.  The REVELution Race Cars Pro Late Models will be off, but are encouraged to come and compete with the Super Late Models at this October 3 event, as the top three finishing drivers using a Pro Late Model crate-powered engine will receive an additional $100 payout to their finishing position and if there are some crate-powered cars that do not make the 22 car starting field, a random drawing will take place and one of those drivers will earn a 23rd starting position in the Super Late Model main event (if this takes place, this 23rd starting driver will not be eligible for one of the $100 bonuses).  Pro Late Model drivers can compete in the Super Late Model division and utilize the 2015 Richmond Raceway Pro Late Model tire rule.

Also of note, it will be Meet the Drivers night and this will take place in the infield area of the track from 5:00 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. and race fans will be allowed to venture to the infield area and greet their favorite drivers, get autographs, take photographs, etc.  It will also be $1 hotdog night as hotdogs will be $1 all night long at both the general admission concession and pit concession areas.  Lastly, if a driver finishes in the top ten in the Super Late Model Halloween 50 feature at 201 Speedway on Friday October 2 and comes to Richmond and wins the Beast of the East Clash on Saturday October 3, that driver will receive an additional $201 courtesy of Richmond Raceway.  Individuals that have raincheck tickets or pit pass bracelets from September 19 can use those to be admitted to the track on October 3, but you will have to present your ticket or pit pass and will have to pay the difference in price.  Also, any driver that rented a transponder on September 19 will get free transponder rental for this event.

Richmond Raceway will present the Beast of the East Clash on Saturday October 3 and the Barry Turner of Century 21 Advantage Realty Super Late Models will race 40 laps in the main event for $5,000 to win.  Modifieds will join the action as well and will compete in a 30 lap, $2,000 to win main event, while the American Dirt Allstars KDRA Super Stocks will contest the KDRA Super Stock Nationals, with the feature contest going 30 laps for $2,000 to win.  Also on the October 3 Beast o the East Clash racing card will be the Four Cylinders racing for $500 to win and the Warlock Race Cars Mini-Cup/Cyclones racing for $100 to win.  All divisions in competition will utilize the practice/time trials format to determine heat race starting positions.  RACEceivers are mandatory in all divisions and must be used by the driver each time he/she is on the racing surface in their race car and transponder scoring is also used by the track.  It is pertinent that all drivers be at the track and signed in by 5:30 p.m. to help insure the program starts in a timely manner.
