Saturday Night Showdown at Richmond Raceway Rained Out for Saturday May 16

Richmond, KY(May 16, 2015) Richmond Raceway was set to return to racing action after a week off, but Mother Nature would have other notions as she continues to not be a race fan in 2015 and track co-promoters Larry, Chad, and Sarah Yantz have been forced to cancel the Saturday Night Showdown racing program that was scheduled for Saturday May 16, marking the third rained out event of the 2015 season at the 3/10 mile clay oval known as “The Beast of the East”. 

Rain showers started falling at the track just before 1:00 p.m. and rain showers picked up by around 1:15 p.m. and with a forecast for possible more heavy rain showers moving through the area around mid-afternoon, the track was left with no choice but to postpone the racing program scheduled for Saturday May 16.   The make-up date for the Saturday Night Showdown event that was scheduled to feature the American Dirt Allstars KDRA Super Stocks in action for $1,000 to win and Four Cylinders for $500 to win, plus all other divisions, has now been rescheduled for Saturday August 29. 

The next event at Richmond Raceway will take place on Saturday May 23 and will be the inaugural running of the Finn Watson Memorial, with the Barry Turner of Century 21 Advantage Realty Super Late Models racing for $2,000 to win and the REVELution Race Cars Pro Late Models racing for $800 to win.  Also on the racing program for the Saturday May 23 Finn Watson Memorial will be Modifieds racing for $800 to win, KDRA Super Stocks racing for $500 to win, and Four Cylinders racing for $300 to win.
