                   Richmond, KY (February 19, 2015)   Richmond Raceway co-promoters Larry, Chad, and Sarah Yantz are set to   kick off “The Dawn of a New Era” of racing at the historic Richmond, KY   track that will begin its 50th season of operation in 2015 and its first   season under the promotional helm of the Yantz family, who have made   many improvements already at the track and have plans for more   throughout the 2015 season, which promises to be the most exciting ever   at the 3/10 mile clay oval now known as “The Beast of the East”. 
                   Activities will begin at Richmond Raceway for the 2015 with a pair   of Test and Tune Open Practice dates, with the first practice date set   for Saturday March 28 from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m., with the second   and final practice date set for Saturday evening April 4 from 6:00 p.m.   until 10:00 p.m.  The track will officially begin its 50th season of   dirt track racing with the “Dawn of New Era” season opener event on   Saturday April 11.  The 2015 season will conclude with the track’s Beast   of the East Clash season finale event on Saturday October 3.  
                   The Super Late Model division will be in action weekly at Richmond   Raceway during the 2015 racing season, with several special events   planned for the fire-breathing Saturday night ground pounders, with a   pair of these events being sanctioned by the Southern Nationals Bonus   Series presented by Collins Signs.  The track’s longest running event,   the 28th Annual Sunoco Race Fuels Paul “Butterball” Wooldridge Memorial,   will take place on Friday July 17 and Saturday July 18, with Friday   July 17 set as an open practice night for all divisions, followed by a   post-practice cookout.  On Saturday July 18, the racers will get down to   business as the Southern Nationals Bonus Series Super Late Models will   compete in a full program of racing action, culminating with the 28th   Annual Sunoco Race Fuels Paul “Butterball” Wooldridge Memorial event   that will pay $10,028 to win, making it the richest event in the history   of the track.  The tour will return to the track on Saturday September 5   for the inaugural Colonel Classic, which will be part of the Southern   Nationals Bonus Series presented by Collins Signs Revelution Race Cars   Iron Man Speedweek 2015, with the Super Late Model winner taking home   $3,000 for their efforts.  Several other special events for the Super   Late Model division are also scheduled for 2015, with a Friday/Saturday   doubleheader set for April 17 and 18.  The Richmond Rumble will take   place on Friday April 17, paying $2,000 to win for Super Late Models,   while the Spring Showdown will roll the following night on Saturday   April 18, paying $5,000 to win for Super Late Models.  The Finn Watson   Memorial will take place on Saturday May 23 and will pay $2,000 to win,   while the “Butterball” Tune-Up event will take place on Saturday July   11, also paying $2,000 to win.  The Butch Shay Memorial has been set for   Saturday August 15, paying $2,000 to win, while the The Beast of the   East Clash will close out the season on Saturday October 3, paying   $5,000 to win.  The Super Late Models will race weekly at Richmond   Raceway for $1,200 to win in a 25 lap main event.  
                   The   Modified division will have several special events that will pay extra   money to win as well during the 2015 season.  The Modifieds will race   for $1,000 to win as part of the Richmond Rumble on Friday April 17 and   also race for $1,000 to win at the Modified Mayhem event on Saturday   June 13.  Modifieds will also race for $1,000 to win as part of the   Sunoco Race Fuels 28th Annual Paul “Butterball” Wooldridge Memorial on   Saturday July 18.  The Butch Shay Memorial will see the Modifieds race   for $2,000 to win on Saturday August 15, while the only sanctioned event   for the Modifieds will take place on Saturday September 5 when the Iron   Man Modified Speedweek 2015 presented by American Race Tire South event   will pay $1,000 to win as part of the inaugural Colonel Classic.  The   Beast of the East Clash closes out the season on Saturday October 3,   paying $2,000 to win.  The Modifieds will race weekly at Richmond   Raceway for $800 to win in a 20 lap main event.  
                   The Pro Late   Model division will also see special events on the racing docket during   the 2015 racing season.  The Pro Late Models will race for $800 to win   as part of the Finn Watson Memorial event on Saturday May 23, while the   Pro Late Models will race for $1,500 to win in their inaugural   Firecracker 40 event on Saturday July 4.  The Pro Late Model division   will complete their portion of the 2015 racing season at the track on   Saturday September 19, racing for $1,000 to win.  The Pro Late Models   will race weekly at Richmond Raceway for $600 to win in a 20 lap main   event.  
                   The always exciting Sportsman division will again be in   action at Richmond Raceway in 2015, but will have a new name.  The KDRA   (Kentucky Dirt Racers Alliance) Super Stock division will have several   special events during the 2015 race campaign.  The KDRA Super Stocks   will race for $1,000 to win as part of the Spring Shootout on Saturday   April 18 and will again race for $1,000 to win at the Saturday Night   Showdown event on May 16.  They will race for $800 to win as part of the   28th Annual Sunoco Race Fuels Paul “Butterball” Wooldridge Memorial on   Saturday July 18, with the KDRA Super Stocks closing out their 2015   season at Richmond Raceway on Saturday September 19 with the KDRA Super   Stock Nationals, paying $2,000 to win.  The KDRA Super Stocks will race   weekly at Richmond Raceway for $500 to win in a 15 lap main event.  
                   After a one year absence, the Four Cylinder division will return for   action at Richmond Raceway in 2015, with some extra paying money events   also on the docket for this division.  The Four Cylinders will race for   $500 to win as part of the Saturday Night Showdown event on Saturday May   16 and will race for $1,000 to win at the Four Cylinder Fury contest on   Saturday June 27.  The Four Cylinder division will conclude their 2015   season as part of the Beast of the East Clash on Saturday October 3,   racing for $500 to win.  The Four Cylinders will race weekly at Richmond   Raceway for $300 to win in a 12 lap event.  
                   The   Mini-Cup/Cyclone division has been added as part of the 2015 racing   program at Richmond Raceway for fourteen (14) events.  The division will   be part of the track’s season opening event on Saturday April 11 and   will also be in competition on Saturday April 25.  The class will join   the racing program on three Saturday evenings in the month of May on May   2, May 16, and May 30, while also competing on two Saturday events in   June on June 13 and June 27.  The division will be featured twice each   month the remainder of the season as well, with those dates including   July 4 and July 18, August 15 and August 29, September 5 and September   19, and also at the season ending event on October 3.  The   Mini-Cup/Cyclone division will race at Richmond Raceway for $100 to win   in a 10 lap event.  
                   Other special nights planned for the season   include Family Meal Deal Night on Saturday April 25, Kid’s Derby Night   on Saturday May 2, Armed Forces Night on Saturday May 30, and Meet the   Drivers Night on the Track on Saturday August 29.
