Richmond, KY (February 2, 2015) Richmond Raceway co-promoters Larry, Chad, and Sarah Yantz will like to announce a planned meeting with drivers that are interested in competing in a combined Mini-Cup/Cyclone division at Richmond Raceway for the upcoming 2015 season.

For interested parties, the meeting will take place at Richmond Raceway at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday February 7 at the building located just inside the back pit gate area.  Richmond Raceway co-promoter Chad Yantz will be there to meet with racers and teams that might be interested in competing at Richmond Raceway over the course of the 2015 racing season.

If enough interest is shown, the division would see the Mini-Cup and Cyclone division cars combined in one class that would compete no more than two times a month at the Madison County 3/10 mile clay oval.  The class would see children and adults racing together.

“We have had some interest and calls from some people that have these cars, and with a couple of tracks that were running them now closed, we are entertaining the idea of possible adding them to our schedule if enough interest is shown”, stated Richmond Raceway co-promoter Chad Yantz.  “The Mini-Cup and Cyclone type of race cars are a great and affordable way to get involved in racing and to give the youngsters out there who are interested in racing a way to get involved and compete at an affordable price and insure the future of local racing”, added Yantz.

The 2015 racing season will get underway with a pair of Test and Tune Open Practice dates on Saturday March 28 and Saturday April 4.    The 50th anniversary season the “Dawn of a New Era” for Richmond Raceway gets underway with the official 2015 season opening event on Saturday April 11.
