Richmond, KY(August 9, 2015) Richmond Raceway co-promoters Larry, Chad, and Sarah Yantz will return with racing competition this Saturday August 15 as the track will present the Century 21 Advantage Realty Client/Agent Night Butch Shay Memorial at the 3/10 mile red clay oval known as “The Beast of the East”.
The event will honor the memory of the late Butch Shay, who passed away in 2014 after a driving career that began in 1963 and concluded in 2013 and was a long-time competitor and supporter of Richmond Raceway, having raced at the track at various times over the course of his 50 year racing career. Shay was also just inducted into the National Dirt Late Model Hall of Fame in the lifetime contribution to the sport category this past weekend. The event is being presented by Century 21 Advantage Realty Clients and Agents, with the top ten Century 21 Advantage Realty realtors and their families in attendance to assist with the evening’s festivities and they will also provide the pace car that will be used for the event.
Richmond Raceway will present the Century 21 Advantage Realty Client/Agent Night Butch Shay Memorial on Saturday August 15 as the Barry Turner of Century 21 Advantage Realty Super Late Models will be racing for $2,100 to win in a 21 lap main event and Modifieds will also race for $2,100 to win in a 21 lap main event that same evening. Also on the Century 21 Advantage Realty Client/Agent Night Butch Shay Memorial racing card on Saturday August 15 will be REVELution Race Cars Pro Late Models racing for $600 to win, KDRA Super Stocks racing for $500 to win, Four Cylinders racing for $300 to win, and Warlock Race Cars Mini-Cup/Cyclone racing for $100 to win. For the “Butterball” Tune-Up event, all divisions will utilize the practice/time trials combo format to determine heat race starting positions, except for the Four Cylinder and Mini-Cup/Cyclone division, as they will draw for heat race starting positions. RACEceivers are mandatory in all divisions and must be used by the driver everytime he/she is on the racing surface in their race car and transponder scoring is also used by the track. It is pertinent that all drivers be at the track and signed in by 6:00 p.m.

Activities for the Century 21 Advantage Realty Client/Agent Night Butch Shay Memorial event at Richmond Raceway on Saturday August 15 will see the pit area open at 3:00 p.m., with the general admission area open at 4:30 p.m. Driver’s registration will close promptly at 6:00 p.m. The drivers meeting will be at 6:00 p.m, with practice/time trial combo laps set to begin around 6:30 p.m., and the green flag for the first race will wave at 7:30 p.m. Ticket prices for the Century 21 Advantage Realty Client/Agent Night Butch Shay Memorial on Saturday August 15 in the general admission area will be $18 for adults, with children ages 12 and under FREE. For the pit area, adult prices will be $35, with children ages 6 to 12 costing $15, and children ages five and under FREE. If a driver races in more than one division, that driver has to buy a second pit pass. Also, any driver under the age of 18 will have to have a notorized release signed by both parents before that driver is eligible to compete at Richmond Raceway, due to insurance regulations.
