Family Meal Deal Night and Full Racing Program at Richmond Raceway April 25

 

Richmond, KY (April 19, 2015) Richmond Raceway co-promoters Larry, Chad, and Sarah Yantz are set for another Saturday evening of racing action at the 3/10 mile clay oval known as “The Beast of the East” as the track will present Family Meal Deal Night, that will feature a full racing program, with all divisions in competition.

As the name of the night implies, it will be Family Meal Deal Night and there will be a special for a meal for the entire family available at the food court in both the general admission and pit area sides.

Richmond Raceway will present Family Meal Deal Night on Saturday April 25 and all divisions will be in competition.  The Barry Turner of Century 21 Advantage Realty Super Late Models will be in action, racing for $1,200 to win, while the Modified division will be in action as well, racing for $800 to win.  The REVELution Pro Late Models return to action on April 25 and will race for $600 to win, while the always exciting KDRA Super Stocks will compete for $500 to win.  Completing the racing card at Richmond Raceway for Saturday April 25 will be the Four Cylinder division, racing for $300 to win and the Warlock Race Cars Mini-Cup Cyclone division will be in action for $100.  The Super Late Model, Modified, Pro Late Model, and KDRA Super Stock divisions will utilize the practice/time trials combo format, with their best time in practice determining their heat race starting positions.  Four Cylinders and Mini-Cup/Cyclones will line up for heat events based on the draw.

Richmond Raceway uses a transponder scoring system to time and score the cars.  Drivers must pick up a transponder at driver registration ($10 rental fee; $5 if they have their own) and the transponder must be mounted on the right-rear axle tube of the race car.  Also, for a driver to get paid at the end of the night, they must return their transponder when they come to pick up their prize money.  RACEceivers are also mandatory for use at Richmond Raceway in 2015 in all divisions.  RACEceivers and transponders must be in use each time the cars are on the racing surface.

Activities for Family Meal Deal Night at Richmond Raceway on Saturday April 25 will see the pit area open at 4:00 p.m., with the general admission area open at 5:00 p.m.  The drivers meeting will be at 6:15 p.m, with practice/time trial laps set to begin around 6:30 p.m., and the green flag for the first race will wave at 7:30 p.m.  Ticket prices for Family Meal Deal Night on Saturday April 25 in the general admission area will be $13 for adults, with children ages 12 and under FREE.  For the pit area, adult prices will be $30, with children ages 6 to 12 costing $15, and children ages five and under FREE.  If a driver races in more than one division, that driver has to buy a second pit pass.  Also, any driver under the age of 18 will have to have a notorized release signed by both parents before that driver is eligible to compete at Richmond Raceway, due to insurance regulations.
