Four Cylinder Rumble $1,200 to win, Plus All Other Classes, at Richmond Raceway Saturday September 23

 

Richmond, KY(September 17, 2017) Richmond Raceway track promoters Larry, Chad, and Sarah Yantz are set to return with racing action at the 3/10-mile semi-banked clay oval known as “The Beast of the East” on Saturday September 23 as the track will present the Four Cylinder Rumble presented by Quality Homes of KY for the Baker Iron and Metal Stock Four Cylinders paying $1,200 to win, along with a full racing program for the Sonic Late Models, Eagle Financial Services Open Wheel Modifieds, and AR Bodies KDRA Super Stocks.

Of note, Richmond Raceway has been listed for sale, but the Yantz family will conclude the 2017 racing season with the events that have been posted on the 2017 racing schedule prior to the start of the current 2017 season.  

Richmond Raceway will present the Four Cylinder Rumble presented by Quality Homes of KY on Saturday September 23 with the featured event seeing the Baker Iron and Metal Stock Four Cylinders racing for $1,200 to win in a 30-lap main event.  Also on the racing program at Richmond Raceway on Saturday September 23 will be the track’s Sonic Late Models paying $1,500 to win, the Eagle Financial Services Open Wheel Modifieds paying $1,000 to win, and the AR Bodies KDRA Super Stocks racing for $750 to win.  All divisions will utilize the practice/time trial combo format to determine heat race starting positions.  Richmond Raceway also uses transponder timing/scoring and the rental fee for a transponder is $10.  RACEceivers are also mandatory and must be is use by drivers anytime they are in their cars out on the track.  Also of note, drivers are encouraged to arrive early and need to be at the track no later than 5:30 p.m. if possible.

Activities for the Four Cylinder Rumble presented by Quality Homes of KY on Saturday September 23 will see the pit area open at 3:00 p.m., with the general admission area gates set to open at 4:30 p.m.  The drivers meeting will take place at 5:45 p.m., with practice/time trial laps set to get underway at 6:15 p.m., and the first green flag to start the racing action will wave at 7:30 p.m.  All times EDT.  Ticket prices for the September 23 Four Cylinder Rumble presented by Quality Homes of KY in the general admission area will be $15 for adults, with children ages 12 and under free.  A pit pass will be $35, with children ages 6 to 12 costing $15, while children ages 5 and under are free.
