Richmond Raceway Off Until AR Bodies KDRA Super Stock Nationals on August 19

 

Richmond, KY(July 30, 2017) Richmond Raceway track promoters Larry, Chad, and Sarah Yantz will have the 3/10-mile semi-banked clay oval known as “The Beast of the East” idle for the next few weeks before returning to action on Saturday August 19 for the 3rd Annual AR Bodies KDRA Super Stock Nationals that will pay $2,500 to win for division, along with a full racing program in all other divisions.     

Richmond Raceway will present the 3rd Annual AR Bodies KDRA Super Stock Nationals on Saturday August 19 with the featured event seeing the AR Bodies KDRA Super Stocks race for $2,500 to win.  Also on the racing program at Richmond Raceway on Saturday August 19 will be the track’s Sonic Late Models paying $1,500 to win, the Eagle Financial Services Open Wheel Modifieds paying $1,000 to win, and the Baker Iron and Metal Stock Four Cylinders paying $500 to win.  All divisions, except for the KDRA Super Stocks will utilize the practice/time trial combo format to determine heat race starting positions.  Richmond Raceway also uses transponder timing/scoring and the rental fee for a transponder is $10.  RACEceivers are also mandatory and must be is use by drivers anytime they are in their cars out on the track.  Also of note, drivers are encouraged to arrive early and need to be at the track no later than 5:30 p.m. if possible.

Activities for the 3rd Annual AR Bodies KDRA Super Stock Nationals on Saturday August 19 will see the pit area open at 3:00 p.m., with the general admission area gates set to open at 4:30 p.m.  The drivers meeting will take place at 5:45 p.m., with practice/time trial laps set to get underway at 6:15 p.m., and the first green flag to start the racing action will wave at 7:30 p.m.  All times EDT.  Ticket prices and purse information will be released closer to time for the event.
