Modified Mayhem $1,500 to win Up Next at Richmond Raceway Saturday July 8

 

Richmond, KY(July 2, 2017) Richmond Raceway track promoters Larry, Chad, and Sarah Yantz will present Modified Mayhem at the 3/10-mile semi-banked clay oval known as “The Beast of the East” on Saturday July 8 as the Eagle Financial Services Open Wheel Modifieds will race for $1,500 to win, plus there will be a full racing for the Sonic Late Models, AR Bodies KDRA Super Stocks, and Baker Iron and Metal Stock Four Cylinders.  Mini-Cup/Cyclones have also been added to the schedule on July 8 and will race for $100 to win. 

Richmond Raceway will present Modified Mayhem on Saturday July 8 as the Eagle Financial Services Open Wheel Modifieds will be highlighted in a $1,500 to win event.  Also in action at Richmond Raceway on Saturday July 8 will be the track’s Sonic Late Models racing for $1,500 to win in a 25 lap main event, AR Bodies KDRA Super Stocks racing for $750 to win in a 15 lap feature contest, the Baker Iron and Metal Stock Four Cylinders racing for $500 to win in a 12 lap main event, and Mini-Cup/Cyclones will race for $100 to win.  All divisions will utilize the practice/time trial combo format to determine heat race starting positions.  Richmond Raceway also uses transponder timing/scoring and the rental fee for a transponder is $10.  RACEceivers are also mandatory and must be is use by drivers anytime they are in their cars out on the track.  Also of note, drivers are encouraged to arrive early and need to be at the track no later than 5:30 p.m. if possible.

Activities for the Modified Mayhem event on Saturday July 8 at Richmond Raceway will see the pit area open at 3:00 p.m., with the general admission area gates set to open at 4:30 p.m.  The drivers meeting will take place at 5:45 p.m., with practice/time trial laps set to get underway at 6:15 p.m., and the first green flag to start the racing action will wave at 7:30 p.m.  All times EDT.  Ticket prices for Modified Mayhem at Richmond Raceway in the general admission area will be $15 for adults, while children ages 12 and under are free.  A pit pass will be $35, with children ages 6 to 12 costing $15, and children ages 5 and under are free in the pit area.
