Armed Forces and Kid’s Night/KDRA Super Stocks $1,200 to win at Richmond Raceway Saturday May 28

 

Richmond, KY(May 22, 2016) Richmond Raceway co-promoters Larry, Chad, and Sarah Yantz are hoping for some cooperation from Mother Nature so racing action can return to the 3/10 mile semi-banked red clay oval known as “The Beast of the East” on Saturday May 28 as the track will present Armed Forces and Kid’s Night, featuring the American Dirt Allstars sanctioned AR Bodies KDRA Super Stocks in action paying $1,200 to win, plus a full racing program in all other divisions.  

Armed Forces and Kid’s Night will see all active and inactive military personnel admitted FREE with a valid military identification card and will be recognized during opening ceremonies and Kid’s Night activities will include drawings and giveaways for the younger race fans, along with foot races on the track during intermission.  Also of note, the $750 to win special for the Pro-Tow Towing Stock Four Cylinder division that was scheduled for May 21 will be rescheduled at a later date to be announced.    

Richmond Raceway will present Armed Forces and Kid’s Night on Saturday May 28 and will highlight the American Dirt Allstars AR Bodies KDRA Super Stocks in a 30 lap, $1,200 to win feature event.  Also on the Armed Forces and Kid’s Night racing docket at Richmond Raceway on Saturday May 28 will be the Sonic Late Models racing for $1,500 to win in a 25 lap main event and the Phantom Racing Gear Modifieds racing for $1,000 to win in a 20 lap main event.  In addition, the Pro-Tow Towing Stock Four Cylinders will race for $500 to win in a 12 lap main event and the Warlock Race Cars Mini-Cup/Cyclones will race for $100 to win in a 10 lap feature contest.  All divisions will utilize the practice/time trials combo format to determine heat race starting positions.  Transponders are used for timing/scoring purposes (can be rented at the track) and RACEceivers are also mandatory in all divisions.  All competitors are urged to be at the track and signed-in by 5:30 p.m. as that is when driver registration closes.  Also of note, the three highest finishing drivers that utilize a Crate engine powered car will be eligible for bonuses.  The highest finishing driver using a Crate engine will receive a $100 bonus, second highest finishing driver using a Crate engine will receive a $75 bonus, and the third highest finishing driver using a Crate engine will receive a $50 bonus.  Additionally, there is an entry fee for the American Dirt Allstars event, which is $20 for series members and $30 for series non-members, with the entry fee including the transponder rental fee. 

Activities for the Armed Forces and Kid’s Night at Richmond Raceway on Saturday May 28 will see the pit area open at 3:00 p.m. and the general admission area open at 4:30 p.m.  Driver registration will close at 5:30 p.m. and the drivers meeting will begin at 5:45 p.m., with practice set to begin at 6:15 p.m.  Racing is set to take the take the green flag at 7:30 p.m.  All times listed are EDT.  Ticket prices for the Armed Forces and Kid’s Night at Richmond Raceway on Saturday May 28 in the general admission area will be $15 for adults, with children ages 12 and under admitted FREE.  A pit pass will be $35, children ages 6 to 12 will be $15, and children ages 5 and under are FREE.
