Richmond, KY(April 17, 2016) With a successful 2016 season opener in the rear-view mirror, Richmond Raceway co-promoters Larry, Chad, and Sarah Yantz are set to get into weekly racing series competition at the 3/10 mile semi-banked clay oval known as “The Beast of the East” as the track will present its Family Meal Deal Night event on Saturday April 23 that will feature a $3.50 meal deal at the concession areas that will include a hot dog, a bag of chips, and 22 ounce fountain drink.

Richmond Raceway will present a full racing program of competition on Family Meal Deal Night that will see the Late Model division race for $1,500 to win and $150 to start in a 25 lap main event.  The Phantom Race Gear Modifieds will be in action in a 20 lap, $1,000 to win/$100 to start feature contest, while the AR Bodies KDRA Super Stocks will provide action as well in a 15 lap, $750 to win/$75 to start main event.  Completing the Family Meal Deal Night racing program on Saturday April 23 will be the Stock Four Cylinder division in a 12 lap, $500 to win/$50 to start contest and the Warlock Race Cars Mini-Cup/Cyclone division will be in action in a 10 lap, $100 to win/$40 to start feature event.  All five divisions will utilize the practice/time trials combo format to determine heat race starting positions.  Transponders are used for timing/scoring purposes (can be rented at the track) and RACEceivers are also mandatory in all divisions.  In addition, drivers in the Late Model division utilizing a Crate engine package for their race car are eligible for bonus money, as the top finishing Crate powered Late Model will get an additional $100, with the second highest Crate finisher receiving an additional $75, and the third highest Crate finisher will receive an additional $50.  All competitors are urged to be at the track and signed-in by 5:30 p.m. 

Activities for the Family Meal Deal Night at Richmond Raceway on Saturday April 23 will see the pit area open at 3:00 p.m. and the general admission area open at 4:30 p.m.  The drivers meeting will begin at 5:45 p.m., with practice set to begin at 6:15 p.m.  Racing is set to take the take the green flag at 7:30 p.m.  All times listed are EDT.  Ticket prices for the Family Meal Deal Night at Richmond Raceway on Saturday April 23 in the general admission area will be $15 for adults, with children ages 12 and under admitted FREE.  A pit pass will be $30, children ages 6 to 12 will be $15, and children ages 5 and under are FREE.
