Meet the Drivers Night Added to Beast of the East Clash at Richmond Raceway October 3!

 

Richmond, KY(September 23, 2015) Richmond Raceway co-promoters Larry, Chad, and Sarah Yantz are pleased to announce that the Meet the Drivers night that was scheduled for September 26 will now take place as part of the inaugural Beast of the East Clash season finale at the 3/10 mile red clay oval known as “The Beast of the East” on Saturday October 3. 

After practice laps and time trials are completed for the Beast of the East Clash event on Saturday October 3, drivers in all divisions that are in competition will be invited to bring their race cars out to the frontchute and park them on the track.  Once this is complete, the race fans will be allowed down on the track and will be able to meet their favorite drivers up close and personal, get autographs, take photographs, and have some fellowship time with their favorite drivers.   

The Beast of the East Clash will take place at Richmond Raceway on Saturday October 3 and will see the Barry Turner of Century 21 Advantage Realty Super Late Model headline the program by competing in a $5,000 to win main event.  The Modified division will also be in competition at the Beast of the East Clash on Saturday October 3 and will be racing for $2,000 to win.  The Four Cylinder division will also be part of this must-see racing event and will be racing for $500 to win, while the Warlock Race Cars Mini-Cup/Cyclones will complete the racing card at the Beast of the East Clash and will race for $100 to win.  The Pro Late Model and KDRA Super Stock divisions will have the night off, but Pro Late Model drivers are encouraged to come and race in this event, as they can use their division’s tire rule.  More details concerning the event format, A-Main payouts for each division, and total laps for each division’s A-Main will be published in the next track press release coming out on Sunday.

Activities for the Beast of the East Clash/Meet the Drivers Night at Richmond Raceway on Saturday October 3 will see the pit area open at 3:00 p.m., with the general admission area opening at 4:00 p.m.  Driver’s registration will close promptly at 5:15 p.m. and all drivers are encouraged to be at the track and signed in by 5:15 to insure the racing program can start in a prompt manner.  The drivers meeting will be at 5:30 p.m, with practice laps set to begin at 6:00 p.m., and the green flag for the first race will wave around 8:00 p.m.   Ticket prices for the Beast of the East Clash/Meet the Drivers Night will be published in the upcoming Sunday press release as well.
