Firecracker 30 at Richmond Raceway Postponed to September 19 Due to Saturated Grounds

Richmond, KY(July 3, 2015) Richmond Raceway was set to celebrate America’s 239th birthday on Saturday evening in grand style with a full racing program that would feature fireworks and the $1,500 to win Firecracker 30 for REVELution Race Cars Pro Late Models, but Mother Nature has once again reared her ugly head as off and on again heavy rains over the course of the week has left the track and especially the pit area and general admission parking areas saturated and standing with water, thus, leaving Richmond Raceway track promoters Larry, Chad, and Sarah Yantz no other option but to postpone the scheduled Firecracker 30 racing program.

The Firecracker 30 event has been rescheduled and will now take place on Saturday September 19 as part of the American Dirt Allstars sanctioned KDRA Super Stocks Nationals, that will see the KDRA Super Stocks race for $2,000 to win and Pro Late Models will race for $1,500 to win, along with a full racing program for all other divisions.

The next event at Richmond Raceway is set for Saturday July 11 and will be the “Butterball” Tune-Up event that will feature the Barry Turner of Century 21 Advantage Realty Super Late Models racing for $2,000 to win and an automatic starting spot in the 28th Annual Sunoco Race Fuels Paul “Butterball” Wooldridge Memorial race that is set for Saturday July 18 and will pay $10,028 to win for the Southern Nationals Bonus Series presented by Collins Signs sanctioned Super Late Models.  Joining the Super Late Models at the $2,000 to win “Butterball” Tune-Up on Saturday July 11 will be the REVELution Race Cars Pro Late Models ($600 to win), Modifieds ($800 to win), KDRA Super Stocks ($500 to win), and Four Cylinders ($300 to win), while the Warlock Race Cars Mini-Cup/Cyclone division will have the night off.
